After a competitive pitch in 2014 England Hockey appointed Agency Inc to develop a new brand identity, website and an integrated campaign for the EuroHockey Championships 2015.

The tournament offered England Hockey a rare opportunity to reach a new audience in between Olympics, so we set about creating a unique brand look and feel to convey the event as a premium sports occasion, on a par with other high profile British summer sports events.

The Agency Inc creative team used bold, modern colours and a distinctive font to appeal to a young target audience of live sports fans, far beyond the traditional base of hockey players and supporters.

In the first fortnight of the summer launch campaign 25% of the target ticket sales were achieved, more than 12 months in advance of the event itself. Key matches sold out quickly, prompting England Hockey to significantly increase capacity at the Lee Valley stadium in the Olympic Park by installing additional stands.

Bennetts

developing an edgy brand to appeal to bikers

Bennetts, the UK’s largest insurer of motorbikes, turned to Agency Inc in the face of a drop in sales as the insurance market continued to shift towards comparison sites.

We repositioned the Bennetts brand to demonstrate their understanding of bikers, tapping into a collective antipathy towards bad car drivers – the subjects of endless moans and jokes amongst the biker community. The national campaign was rolled out through press and magazines, and digital display ads, supported by an interactive site and facebook app where bikers could post their own evidence of poor car driving. It helped reposition Bennetts as the bikers’ champions, injecting life and personality into the sector.

Sales volume increased by a staggering 30% year on year, with a 94% uplift in quotes at the peak of the anti-car campaign.

Derwent

building value for an established brand

Derwent, one of the world’s best-loved producers of fine art pencils and materials, turned to Agency Inc with a brief to build quality perceptions, clarity and consistency into the brand proposition.

We sent an Agency Inc team to the pencil factory and innovation lab on the shores of Lake Derwent in Cumbria, absorbed the market research, engaged with key stakeholders, and then began to build a new set of brand attributes, guidelines and design templates form the ground up. The all new Derwent brand will hit the shelves across the globe in 2016.

Rexel Europe is part of Acco Brands, the world’s largest manufacturer and supplier of branded office products.

Having repositioned and relaunched the Rexel brand in 2014 we’ve worked with their extensive in-house studio to ensure that all subsequent communications are on message and in line, across multiple marketing teams operating throughout EMEA. The responsibility has covered all manner of channel and direct comms including advertising, digital communications, promotions, point of sale, packaging, film, literature, and event signage.
