Task

Our task was to continue to build brand awareness and perceived value for the double-header match involving Saracens, London Irish, Wasps and Harlequins, which traditionally kicks off the start of the Premiership Rugby season.

Insight

We needed to appeal to hard core fans of the clubs as well as occasional fans who might be drawn to the spectacle of Twickenham and an opportunity to see some of the top players in England in a single day.

Solution

Agency Inc developed a flexible creative solution which could be adapted to work for different target audiences and across a host of communications channels. The integrated campaign engaged fans and drove ticket sales through multiple digital channels, advertising, posters, taxi-wraps, PR and content marketing initiatives.

Results

Just over 66k fans watched Saracens snatch victory from Wasps, and Harlequins defeat London Irish in two tightly contested matches. This represented a +6% year on year increase in ticket sales, well ahead of the targets set.
