Hockey hitting the (inter)net.

EuroHockey

Task

We were asked to architect, design and build a content managed website that would hold information in the run up to the event, integrate with a ticketing system and be updatable during the event with rolling news and results tables. The site also needed to allow for social media integration to pull in Facebook and Twitter feeds.

Insight

If we treat business customers as sophisticated consumers we can significantly increase consideration and response levels.

Solution

By wireframing the known content we were able to identify gaps and additional content requirements. Combining the approved wireframes with conceptualised visuals resulted in a user-friendly site, true to the brand and the event ethos. The main business aim of the site was to sell tickets and that was a key consideration in the user experience so features prominently across the site.

The site was planned and written as a responsive site to work across all devices. Following discussion with the client the chosen platform, WordPress, was selected for ease of use. Coding of the site adheres to WC3 standards and is cross-browser tested.

Results

25% of total tickets sales achieved within the 1st 2 weeks of site launch. England Hockey are now in discussion to consider expanding the capacity of the event.

“Working with Agency Inc is a pleasure. They consult very effectively to ensure they have a full understand of the objectives and priorities of the work they’re taking on. Not only are they a very friendly and efficient team, but the quality of the design work is excellent. There is a clear understanding of how to vary design according to different target audiences. We’d highly recommend them.”
