Task

After a three-way pitch Agency Inc were appointed to launch QuickBooks 2008 accounting software the UK as a launch pad for Europe, Middle East and Africa.

Insight

The main advantage over the competitor products such as Sage was the ease of use and the way that financial information was organised so that a QuickBooks user was never more than two clicks away from whatever they were looking for.

Solution

To stand out against copy-heavy ads which dominated the sector, we turned the distinctive green QuickBooks box into a light switch graphically demonstrating the simplicity of use.

The integrated launch covered all advertising and below the line work, including design of web sites, point of sale brochures, HTML email and exhibition stands.

Results

Sales and revenue targets were comfortably beaten in the first year with QuickBooks gaining market share on Sage, consolidating their second place in the UK market.
