We were asked by the England Hockey Board to re-brand the Maxi 5’s hockey finals – an exciting climax to the 5-a-side hockey league, which is fiercely contested across the country.
England Hockey wanted to breathe more dynamism and excitement into the logo and the overall impression of the one-day event, held annually at Wembley Arena.
Indoor hockey matches are 40 minutes of non-stop action.
The re-brand started with brand identity, and the impression of speed was continued into the main campaign image, featuring two of the stars of the game.
The campaign has been implemented across all outbound and supporting marketing communications primarily through schools and clubs. The main channels have been press, outdoor posters, online banners and flyers. This has been supported through a mini hospitality booklet, email, a ticket wallet for purchasers, and accreditation passes and menus for on the day.
The campaign struck a chord with the family audience, with large numbers of children coming to Wembley with their parents to experience live hockey for the first time. All the main stands were sold out for the first time and the commercial targets and KPIs were all exceeded.
