When Westland Horticulture decided to enter the surprisingly lucrative market for garden bird food, they turned to Agency Inc to develop an appropriate positioning and advertising approach.

Insight

Customer research showed us that British consumers fed garden birds because they enjoy the colour, sounds, and occasional dramas that it causes around the bird table.

Solution

We launched ‘Peckish’, the most nutritiously rich bird food in the category, which, as a consequence, draws more birds into your garden than any other product. The fascinating behavioral characteristics of each bird were brought to life, and customers were invited to watch the drama and the comedy unfold in their very own gardens.
